ABOUT Danielle
Danielle’s STORY
Danielle served as the certified adapted physical education specialist for the Montrose County School District (MCSD) for eight years (2014-2022) and is the Colorado Adapted Physical Education Conference Founder and Director. In 2020 she was awarded the Colorado Adapted Physical Education Teacher of the Year by the Society of Health and Physical Education (SHAPE). In her first year of teaching, Danielle received the MCSD Above and Beyond award in 2014.
Danielle is a member of the National Consortium of Physical Education for Individuals with Disabilities and serves on the subcommittee for the APE Collaborative. She is also a board member and social media coordinator for SHAPE Colorado and a member of SHAPE America. She serves on the Colorado Department of Education Adapted Physical Education Advisory Council.
She is also active on the national scene, both attending and presenting at the National Adapted PE Conference (NAPEC) and for the National Consortium of Physical Education for Individuals with Disabilities (NCPEID).
